Hey Everyone,
This patch adds a bunch of new particle FX to the game. Feet will now kick up dust, sand, snow or leaves when you walk on those surfaces. Rabbits and squirrels will kick up snow when they run. We also added some new particles for when cutting trees, and redid the flare, dynamite and lit stick particle effects. We also fixed a long standing bug with how particles are rendered, which was previously stopping most particles from receiving color grading and glow effects.
For enemies, we’ve increased the chance of enemies investigating large player built bases, fixed them sometimes not being able to climb structures built over water, and stopped them from being able to see players through built walls. We also re-worked all the enemy shading and textures, making them all look more consistent, higher resolution and improving how the skin shading looks (and also drastically improved how burnt enemies appear)
We fixed a bunch of issues with the quick select feature that was introduced last patch, you can no longer equip weapons or use consumables whilst swimming underwater, the state of your quick select items will now be remembered when you respawn and regather your backpack in multiplayer and now only equipment items will show on backpack and in shadow of character. You can now also assign regular sticks, rocks, the pouch and the repair tool to quick select slots.
For caves we’ve added some new skull and bone pile art, fixed a bunch of places where you could fall out of caves into nothingness and fixed some sync issues between blown up walls or doors not being correctly synced for multiplayer.
For multiplayer, we fixed a bunch of sync issues, fixed positions of tray items, fixed snow rabbits appearing incorrectly for clients, added in a missing stand up when revived animation, fixed some issues with clothing variations and more.
This patch also includes a ton of other bug fixes and tweaks, for the full list visit:
